With the benefit of grant assistance from the Edinburgh Old Town Renewal Trust the integrity of
historic shop front was restored by removing previous inappropriate alterations and repairs,
reinstating researched original features, whilst minimising intervention to the existing original
construction. The illustrations show the shop front before and after the repair and conservation scheme.
